As part of Bijli’s commitment to supporting artists at various stages of their practice, we are now offering year round 1-2-1 dramaturgy to give detailed feedback on your full length script and its potential development.
This service is open to ALL artists and/or writers, and will be offered on a sliding scale from £180 to £250 depending on what you can afford.

What is included?
Your script will be read by either Mariem or Shilpa. As part of the dramaturgy service they will:
- Read the script x 2
- Provide written feedback
- 1-2-1 feedback session (1 hour on zoom or in person where possible)
You can book your session by emailing info@bijliproductions.com. You will then receive details on how to proceed. Please allow at least two (2) weeks to arrange your session, and give either Mariem or Shilpa time to read your script and compile their notes. We will aim to deliver your session within one month of booking.
After reading your script, Mariem or Shilpa will prepare notes and questions, and these will be the foundation of your 1-2-1 session. While the exact format of each session will be unique to your needs, you can expect to be asked in depth questions about your aims and objectives for the piece, detailed analysis of the content and applicable aspects of the craft, and an open and honest discussion about the strengths of the piece, the areas that may require further development, and the process through which any further work may be approached.
Why are we charging for this service?
It covers the costs of Mariem and Shilpa’s time as two freelance artists to be able to spend up to 3 hours reading your script, and approximately 3 hours giving you feedback (written and in 1-2-1 session). There is also the small cost of administering the 1-2-1 dramaturgy service all year round.
